Our values
Relationship
Relationships are at the heart of what we do. For many of the women we work with trust has been broken – we create time and space needed for real, authentic, healthy relationships to be built. We seek to know what is really going on for the women we serve and for staff and volunteers, taking the time to celebrate success and journey with each other through the highs and lows.
Nurture
We aim to create a culture of self-care where women, staff and volunteers can thrive and have the space to reflect, recover and dream. Our support is holistic and women-centred and our flats are designed to be a place of safety, nurture and sanctuary.
Collaboration
Our aim is not to ‘rescue’ women. Instead, we come alongside women and collaborate with them, seeking to empower them as they take steps towards recovery and independence.
We recognise what we do well and value what the organisations we partner with do well – we want to work alongside them, sharing resources and complementing other services available to women. We believe that in collaboration we can offer higher quality support tailored to the women we exist to serve.
Unconditional love
We are motivated by Jesus’ compassion and love for others, meeting women where they’re at and valuing them for who they are. We aim to create a culture of unconditional love and acceptance, extending to the way we treat the women we serve, staff, volunteers, partners, also reflected in the language we use when referring to men.
